Fujifilm has announced the availability of new firmware packages developed for its X-H1, X-T1, and X-T2 cameras, namely versions 1.20, 5.50, and 4.30, respectively, which add support for the functions brought by the XF200mmF2 R LM OIS WR and XF1.4X TC F2 WR lenses.
To be clear, the owners of these camera models will be able to make use of “Focus Preset Function” and “Focus Control button” options (once upgraded). Take into account that the imaging unit firmware must be updated before the lens.
If you want to make use of these changes, save the downloadable package, transfer it onto a formatted memory card, and insert the card into the camera. Before moving forward, make sure to use a fully charged battery, since failing to perform the upgrade leads to malfunctions.
Now, power on the camera, press the “DISP/BACK” button to display the current firmware version, select “Ok,” confirm the item as “Body,” and agree with the next dialogs regarding the upgrade process.
Still, bear in mind that the installation should take roughly 90 seconds to complete, and if this takes longer, please be patient and do not turn off the camera or remove the memory card. Doing so can cause serious problems or even render the camera unusable.
Once completed, it would be a good idea to remove the SD card used in this process and check the device’s current firmware version to ensure that the upgrade has been successful.
With this in mind, save the appropriate firmware for your camera model, transfer it onto a memory card, and use it to upgrade your device. Also, check back with us as often as possible to stay “updated one minute ago.”
